Hoppers have to be amongst some of the most successful stillwater dry flies and as the season goes on, and trout become more wary of anglers, I find smaller sizes on fine tippets work much more effectively.  I like this pattern, by simply clipping the hackle you can really get it down into the surface film and the slight curve of the hook keeps those legs enticingly just below the film.
